Tunisia entry restrictions (September 2021)

In accordance with the latest statement by the Tunisian authorities, the conditions of entry into Tunisia are as follows:

 

I- General Measures

1- Passengers arriving in Tunisia who are vaccinated, shall:

Present a negative RT-PCR test with a ‘QR Code’ which does not exceed 72 hours at check-in at the airport of departure, except for children under 12 years of age.

This RT-PCR certificate must be presented to the health services upon arrival.

Present a certificate stating that they have completed their vaccination plan against COVID19, issued by the health authorities of the country of residence, with a recommendation, without obligation, to comply with self-confinement and perform a screening test in case of Covid-19 symptoms.

Comply with random rapid screening (TDR-Antigen) that will be carried on a passenger sample upon arrival. If the test is positive, the passenger concerned will be transferred to a health isolation center at his  own expense.

Fill out the required information on the website: https://app.e7mi.tn, then print and sign the both documents generated by the application and hand them over to the health services at the thermal control point upon arrival at Tunisian airports. 

 

2- Passengers arriving in Tunisia, not vaccinated or who have not completed their  vaccination plan against COVID-19, shall: 

Present a negative RT-PCR test with a ‘QR Code’ which does not exceed 72 hours at check-in at the airport of departure, except for children under 12 years of age.

This RT-PCR certificate shall be presented to the health services upon arrival.

Submit to mandatory containment for a period of 10 days from the date of arrival at one of  the dedicated containment centers on the following link: https://www.ontt.tn/ar/blagh at the passenger's expense.

Perform RT-PCR test within the last 24 hours of the mandatory containment period, provided the test result is issued on the 10th day of the mandatory confinement. If this test is negative and after the entire period of compulsory containment (10 days), the termination of mandatory confinement will be permitted. In the case of positivity of the test, the passenger concerned will be transferred to the health isolation center for positive cases.

Present at check-in at the airport of departure the booking and payment confirmation  document (Voucher) which must include:

      • The cost of transport between the airport and the compulsory containment center.
      • Accommodation costs for 10 days in the compulsory containment center
      • The cost of RT-PCR testing to be performed during the last 24 hours of mandatory containment.

- Comply with random rapid screening (TDR-Antigen) that will be carried on a passenger sample upon arrival. If the test is positive, the passenger concerned will be transferred to a health isolation center at his  own expense.

- Fill out the required information on the website :https://app.e7mi.tn, then print and sign  the both documents generated by the application and hand them over to the health services at the thermal control point upon arrival at Tunisian airports. 

 

Are exempt from mandatory containment:

Unaccompanied minors (under 18 years) or minors accompanying persons vaccinated against COVID-19 with the obligation to comply with a 10-day self-confinement period and to carry out a   RT-PCR test on the 10th day.

- Diplomats accredited to Tunisia and members of their families resident in Tunisia, who will be subjec to self-confinement for 10 days,  provided that they present a note verbale from  the embassy  or  organization concerned at the time of the flight, containing all the necessary information or their residence cards in Tunisia in force.

- Holders of an existing authorization issued by the Compulsory Containment Commission to the  Ministry of Health.

 

II- Measures applied in the context of organized and supervised tourist tours (Inclusive tour)

Non-resident passengers arriving in Tunisia on charter flights or scheduled flights as part of the Inclusive tour shall be exempt from the requirement to comply with  the confinement upon arrival in Tunisia, provided that:

- A negative test certificate of COVID-19 (RT-PCR) has been submitted with a result  date  not exceeding 72 hours at the time of flight check-in.

- The booking and payment (Voucher)  confirmation of an organised  tourist journey (Inclusive tour) through a tour operator shall be presented 

- They comply with the Cohorting groups as soon as they arrive in Tunisia, i.e. tourist transport,  tourist accommodation

- The Sanitary Protocol on Tunisian Tourism, decreed by the Ministry of Tourism, is strictly  applied,

- They complete the requested information on https://app.e7mi.tn.
