Tunisia entry restrictions from 01/02/2021

Further the evolution of the national and international epidemiological situation, the emergence of the  new variant of COVID-19 and in order to reduce the spread of the virus, it was decided to apply the following measures starting from 1st  February 2021:

 

1. General Measures

 The Health Declaration Form and the commitment

Passengers bound for Tunisia shall:

 - Complete the Health Declaration Form available at: https://app.e7mi.tn

 - Sign and print the two document (the health form and the commitment), generated  by the application, before the date of the flight.

 - Present the two documents (the health form and the commitment) at check-in  before boarding for Tunisia.

 - Submit the both documents (the health form and the commitment) to the health control services upon arrival to the Tunisian airports.

Passengers who did not present these documents will not be able to board.

 . Mandatory 7-day Containment

Passengers arriving in Tunisia shall:

 - Take a compulsory confinement period of 07 days from the date of arrival in one of the hotels  accredited and designated for that purpose.

View the list of accredited hotels.

 - Present at the airport of departure the hotel booking and payment confirmation (Voucher) Passengers who have not submitted these documents will be denied for boarding.

 - Perform a COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test, at its load, after its 7th day of compulsory confinement. Where the result of the test is negative, the person concerned may terminate compulsory confinement while respecting the necessary preventive measures.

 . A negative test certificate of COVID-19 (RT-PCR)

Passengers shall submit a negative COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test certificate with a result date not exceeding 72 hours at the time of flight check-in.

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the RT-PCR test.

The test certificate must be submitted by the passenger to the health services upon arrival to the Tunisian airports.

 

2. Measures applied for passengers arriving in Tunisia for urgent and compelling reasons relating to a case of death in the family:

Passengers arriving in Tunisia for urgent and compelling reasons relating to a case of death in the family are exempted from mandatory containment, provided that: 

 - Submit a negative COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test certificate with a result date not exceeding 72 hours at the time of flight check-in.

 - Present the death certificate of the deceased, provided that the date of death does not exceed 72 hours from the date of flight and that the relationship of family (father, mother, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandfather or grandmother) is justified.

 - Fill out the information requested on the website : https://app.e7mi.tn, sign and print the both document (the health form and the commitment), generated  by the application, before the date of the flight and submit these documents to the health control services upon arrival to the Tunisian airports.

 - Comply with the health regulations required for the prevention against COVID-19, including permanent wearing of face masks, respect for physical distancing and the application of  disinfection and hygiene measures.

 

3. Measures applied for diplomats and members of United Nations missions accredited in Tunisia:

Diplomats and members of United Nations missions accredited in Tunisia and their families residing in Tunisia are allowed to apply the 07-day self-containment in their places of residence in Tunisia, provided that:

 - Submit a negative COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test certificate with a result date not exceeding 72 hours at the time of flight check-in at the airport of departure.

 - Submit the verbale note issued by the Embassy or the organisation concerned including all necessary information.

It should be noted that the  Verbale Note  is considered valid only if it has been transmitted by the concerned authorities to the Airline prior to the date of the flight.

 - Present their valid residence cards in Tunisia upon flight check-in.

If it is not possible to present the residence cards, prior authorization from the General Civil Aviation is required to confirm the boarding of these passengers.

 - Fill out the information requested on the website : https://app.e7mi.tn, sign and print the both document (the health form and the commitment), generated  by the application, before the date of the flight and submit these documents to the health control services upon arrival to the Tunisian airports.

 - Comply with the health regulations required for the prevention against COVID-19, including permanent wearing of face masks, respect for physical distancing and the application of  disinfection and hygiene measures.

 

4. Specific measures applied for passengers from countries where the spread of the new variant of COVID-19 has been reported: (United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil) :

Flights to and from the United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil are still suspended.

Acceptance of arrivals from these countries is limited to the exceptional cases that are authorized by the mandatory containment committee at the Health Ministry.

Passengers from these countries, authorised to enter Tunisian territory, shall:

 - Submit a negative COVID-19 (RT-PCR) test certificate with a result date not exceeding 72 hours at the time of flight check-in.

 - Present, at the airport of departure, the hotel booking and payment confirmation (Voucher) for the period of 07 days in one of the hotels dedicated for mandatory containment.

 - Fill out the information requested on the website: https://app.e7mi.tn, sign and print the both document (the health form and the commitment), generated  by the application, before the date of the flight and submit these documents to the health control services upon arrival to the Tunisian airports.
